UNIQUE BEAUTY
(Patrick Hutchinson, Suzanne Nuttall)
You keep complaining that you're not
Conventionally beautiful
And I laugh thinking
I'd rather admire you
Than some conventional ideal
Beautiful eyes
Beautiful nose
Beautiful lips
Beautiful you
Shame on those
That made you doubt
Your unique beauty
Now I'm not claiming it's bad
To read magazines
Under all that gloss
You just might find
Something good to read
Beautiful eyes
Beautiful nose
Beautiful lips
Beautiful you
Shame on those
That made you doubt
Your unique beauty
You spend hours
In front of the mirror
Looking vain
Yet no reflection
In a mirror's gonna change
The image in your brain
Beautiful eyes
Beautiful nose
Beautiful lips
Beautiful you
Shame on those
That made you doubt
Your unique beauty
Shame on those
That made you doubt
Your unique beauty
Shame on those
That made you doubt
Your unique beauty

Fear of a Gilded Cage

LYRICS:
I say no, no, no, no, no, no no, baby
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, not yet
I say no, no, no, no, no, no no, baby
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, not yet
Cuz I’ve been tied up and tied down
I’ve often had my back against the wall
And I just thought I’d warn you, honey
That that’s why I am so afraid to fall
But you say:
“Don’t you worry ‘bout a thing now, darlin’
We can take it day by day by day”
Oh and I think it’s so frightening, honey
You seem to know exactly how to play
You say you can hold me all night long
‘Til the traffic in my head ceases to rage
And I’m beginning to believe
That you have more to offer than a gilded cage
But I say no, no, no, no, no, no no, baby
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, not yet
I say no, no, no, no, no, no no, baby
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, not yet
Cuz I’ve been high and I’ve been low
I’ve had ones that have tinkered with my mind
And I just thought I’d warn you, honey
I don’t know if the answer I will find
